Here's the ever-lovely Lady Ketsia (Kat), at the MD Renaissance Festival. The picture was taken in the vacinity of the White Hart Tavern, and in thebackground you can see the tent for one of the glass-workers. By the way, did I mention just how lovely she is?

Closing weekend at the MD Renaissance festival often brings out alot of wierdness. In fact, the group of people I hang out with(known as the "DC Otters" which is a subset of the AFRians) usuallyhas what we call the "Day of Wrong" on closing day of the faire.Well, I spotted this a day early (saturday), and thought it sufficientlyfunny for a picture. :)

Also on the saturday of closing weekend at MDRF, I ran into a bunch ofrobots, complete with sounds effects, and silvery materials. They were gracious enough to swing around when I complained about the angle of thesun, and hence I got a decent picture despite the tree cover. :)

On closing weekend, we managed to go out to dinner with one of thebands that was performing at the faire. In the near end of the tableare some of our faire-friends. At the opposite end, some of the bandmembers are visible. In the center, at the head of the table, was Owain Phyfe himself... an absolutely amazing singer and guitarist whodoesn't play any songs that are younger than 300 years old... he's alsofluent and sings in at least 7 languages... Absolutely amazing.

The ever-lovely Kat, on the "Day of Wrong", aka Closing-Day at MD RenaissanceFestival. Many of us dress up in garb that contains at least one thing thatis completely wrong... be it an out of period item, something made withmodern materials, etc. In this case, she wore a bodice made of duct tape, and a skirt with a chili-pepper design. :)

Also on the day of wrong, I wore my armor with a surcoat made with a bluesparkly/sequin material with gold trim. I also had a santa-hat on myhelmet, which is not shown in this picture. It was as if I was one giantchristmas-tree ornament. :) And yes, I chose that particular spot to hang the coconut-shells on purpose... they were my well-hung nuts. :)
