A&A Edward III
Obtained in October 2013
Being on my wishlist for several years, I finally got my hands on one of these. Someone
I knew was selling a used one from his collection, with just a couple minor blemishes
on it from being in storage. With a little effort, it will clean up nicely.
This sword is based on a survivng piece that many believe to be Edward III's sword.
Some efforts to date the original have placed it in the 14th century, and it has survived in
remarkable condition, including the original grip, which is extremely rare for swords of
that era.
While A&A offers a gold-plated option for the hilt furniture, this one is instead bronze
(which saves about $400 in the price tag).
