A&A Gothic Mace
Purchased in September 2009
Patterned after an actual museum piece (and I believe the head was
cast directly from the period original), this mace is both deadly
and quick. It's a sobering lesson in how destructive a mace could
be despite not having a lot of weight. It's light and quick in the
hand.
I had a chance to handle this piece as part of Craig Johnson's
"unusual weapons" session at WMAW 2009, and I promptly put 3 powerful
blows into the target in probably a second and a half. I couldn't
put it down, and I bought it on the spot.
