2000 - Cats

Here's a picture of Pixel, my first little kitten since moving here.At this point, I think "she" is about 3.5 or 4 months old. Still a littlesmall, and still very hyper, but cute at any rate. :) I named "her" Pixel because of the fascination "she" has shown for the computerscreen. It doesn't matter what I'm doing, playing a game, typing, whatever."She" watches all of it (not just the mouse cursor).

Here's my other cute little kitty cat, Halo. I was told she's about 1.5 yearsold, but there's no way to know for sure. I got her from one of the animalrescue groups, and even though she was picked up as a stray, she appearsto be completely house-broken. She's such a little sweetie, and relativelywell behaved. She's definitely not feral, and had been someone's indoor cat. She must have been thrown out or something. I know that itsometimes happens... that people throw that cat out to fend for itselfjust because it's not a kitten anymore, or because they're moving away,or whatever. It's sad, but then again, it enabled me to get her. :) The adoption group called her "Hallo" (pronouncing it "Halo"), so Idecided to stick with one "L". Interesting that both cats are now namedafter something that glows. :)

Another picture of Pixel. It's amazing how fearless she is, and just how comfortable "she" is around the pet-carriers.

This is Herb, my "room-mate". He's the ultimate couch-potato, butas you can see, he gets along well with the cats. :) Of course, here you can also see my ugly tattered 30-year-old upholstery. Herb made for a great Grim Reaper, though a bit lazy on the job I'd say!But on the other hand, Halo prefers lazy laps to sit in. [More Halloween Decoration pics]
