Once upon a time, I had the idea that I wanted to have at least one of
every type of sword that I could think of. That would mean I'd have a
rapier, scimitar, flamberge, claymore, basket-hilt, and so on. So the
scimitar shown here was one of the first ones I got that was outside of
my normal tastes but with that goal in mind. Since then, I've decided
that such a goal isn't what I really want to do, and this piece no longer
really fits with the rest of my collection.
